Board games are games that you can usually play around a table and include a wide range of variants such as card games, dice games, party games, thematic or abstract games, competitive or cooperative games and many , many others.
BG Con is a free entry event where the industry’s leading distributors are present and visitors can play and buy the latest games.
In addition to the games you can purchase from the exhibitors, you will also have free access to a game library of over 200 titles from the most loved to the latest games released this year.
You can attend workshops and discussions about what it means to create and publish a game with local and international guests.
In collaboration with the Mureș County Museum, we will open a temporary exhibition during the event with Illustrations from games by established artists.
You will have the opportunity to take part in improv and stand-up performances with “Freezerii” on the theme of board games or interact with living statues and many other surprises.
During the BG Con, various contests and competitions will take place with prizes as well as events such as the Local Stage of the Catan National Championship and the National Board Game Design Contest.

The first edition took place on April 15-17, 2016, at the Mihai Eminescu House of Culture in Târgu Mureș.
The second edition took place on December 2-4, 2016, at the Târgu Mureș National Theatre.
The third edition took place on November 10-12, 2017, at the Târgu Mureș National Theatre.
The fourth edition took place on November 23-25, 2018, at the Târgu Mureș National Theatre.
The fifth edition took place on November 1-3, 2019, at the Târgu Mureș Palace of Culture.
The sixth edition was online from November 27-29, 2020.
The seventh edition took place between November 19-21, 2021, at the Târgu Mureș Palace of Culture.
The eighth edition took place between October 21-23, 2022, at the Târgu Mureș Palace of Culture.
BG Con is an event organized by “Zilele Jocurilor” Cultural Association. “Zilele Jocurilor” Cultural Association is a non-profit association that aims to organize events dedicated to fans of board games.
